South Carolina Barbecue For Dogs

South Carolina is said to be the birthplace of barbecue! If you are road tripping through this beautiful state, make sure and pick up a trail map to hit all the good spots.  But there is a problem.  Dogs love barbecue too!  So make them their own version minus the sugar and salt!

Ingredients

2 lbs lean, boneless pork ribs

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup local honey

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1/2 tablespoon cinnamon

 

Directions

Combine the apple cider vinegar, honey, coconut oil and cinnamon.  Pour over ribs and marinate 8 hours in the refrigerator or overnight.  Drain liquid and place on a baking sheet sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.  Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.  Let cool completely.

Serve alongside some collard greens and or brown rice!
