Virginia Peanut Butter Cookies

This may be the easiest, yet tastiest cookie recipe ever.  Yes, are to going to be so bold.  Peanut Butter Brickle from 2 Traveling Dogs was more than excited to visit Virginia on our Adventure Of A Lifetime.  Why?  Because out of the four varieties of peanuts grown in the United States, Virginia grows the biggest!  So a peanut that big deserves a cookie that big with flavor. And you guessed it, you can share this treat with your dog.

Remember, this is a high calorie treat, so “treat” with moderation and always consult a vet before making any changes to your dog’s diet.

Virginia Peanut Butter Cookies

1 cup of no salt, no sugar peanut butter (do NOT use peanut butters with artificial sweeteners either!)

4 tablespoons of organic honey

1 egg

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.  Mix all ingredients together until well combined.  Spray a  cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray.  Roll mixture into bite size balls and place on sheet.  Press with the back of a fork and then press the opposite direction to make a criss cross design.  Bake for 10-12 minutes.  Let cool completely before serving to you or your dog.

Store in an air-tight container in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
